This one hour webinar is designed to support teachers tutoring students who have become disengaged with learning
Our host Sarah Brazenor is an experienced tutor and coach who will cover the following in this session:
Identifying the current learning mindset of the student. Detailed understanding of how to identify where the students are on the ILOC/ELOC sliding scale. (explanations of this scale will be given).
How to identify the limiting beliefs that the student has, preventing them from engaging in learning.
How to use learning style in structuring their school learning.
Once the above has been identified a 3 step plan for re-engagement can be formulated.
Step 1 – change mind set to ILOC
Step 2 – reverse limiting beliefs to a “can do” mentality.
Step 3 – ideal learning environment for student to include: time of session; location of session and training materials to be used.
Expected outcomes
Teachers will be more confident in identifying the blocks to re-engagement of learning. They will have an outline methodology to use for each student.
