Vinyasa Flow Yoga describes a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses synchronized with the breath. The fluid dance-like movements increase flexibility, strength, and stamina while calming the mind and improving overall health. Flow also describes a mental ecstatic state one enters when you are so absorbed in an aspect of creative work that you almost come to feel as if you don’t exist.
Ecstasy in Greek meant to stand to the side of something. It became an analogy for a mental state where you feel that you are not in your ordinary everyday routine, essentially stepping into an alternative reality. Pinnacles of human civilization—the Chinese, Egyptians, Greeks, Hindus, Mayans—were most known for their ecstasies and the places and temples they built that allowed them to experience different realities.

Clarksburg Yoga and our bodies were built for ecstasy also. All we need is space; our creativity; and a sequence of movement, breath, and meditation that did not exist before in that particular combination. Once we get to the point of creating our new reality, that is a moment of ecstasy—our flow state.
