Story: Jake is in a depressing state of his adolescent career. This film showcases that he is just another kid that seems normal. The decision he is making is whether or not to go to school as described by the text messages that he hadn’t been consistently attending. The glitch effects are to show his mind as he goes about his morning routine he is thinking negative thoughts. He throws the phone as he hates being reminded of his responsibilities and actions. He thinks hard for an hour as shown for the time change between the cell phone and computer clock, he gets up to leave the room and you hear a gun cock implying he is going to shoot himself after the depressing thoughts. I wanted to highlight suicide in as non-violent manner as possible (for example an actual gun-emotional scene) as suicide is a topic very dear to me having lost many people close to me, and the fact that you never know the truth behind someone’s thoughts, and sometimes people just need a true friend in their lives. The title is called “to-day” because today could be the day that you or someone else’s lives change and you don’t know it. So go to the day and conquer it.
