Good Evening, Folks. You know, we’ve admitted the error of our ways many times. I’m doing it again here one more time so you understand where we are coming from. We are coming from a learned lesson about vetting not only the INFORMATION, but the SOURCE of that information.
Do we follow the mainstream media? Yeah. We do. Why? Because we vetted the media we had been following — The Corbett Report, The Last American Vagabond, and many others too similar to mention — and found NONE of them credible. What links they made were tenuous at best; some of their assertions were slanderous; many were outright lies. When we asked for evidence, we were met by silence. Nobody responded.
The mainstream media has taken a hit because of the right wing narrative that they can’t be trusted. In fact, if that were the case, they’d be in court continually. They aren’t. They aren’t because they have Legal Departments that tell them when they have enough evidence to publish information that may be potentially slanderous. They have editors who determine what stories are legitimate enough to go after. And they have journalistic standards that must be met. This is not the case for the “alternative facts” media that so many of you embrace. Sorry, we’re not going there. We’re not promoting those outlets. And we’re not allowing posts on any of our venues until they are fully vetted. If they aren’t able to be backed up with facts and evidence, they won’t see the light of day.
This is what REAL journalism looks like:
We’re also tired of the assertion that the government is all bad, while the people (that’s us) are all good. And as soon as we get rid of that government, all the bad shit will go away.
This country has lost it’s fucking mind. That’s a totally illogical thought process, at best. It’s childish. Take a good look around yourselves. Look at the way we treat each other, here and in the real world. Think the rapists are going away? The robbers? Think sexual harassment, bigotry, hatred, racism, misogyny will stop as soon as we get rid of the government? Thinking people are basically “good” and “decent” is like believing in fucking Santa Claus.
Call this a preview. On Sunday’s stream, we’ll be talking about why we completely turned away from self governance and Direct Democracy. Some of it had to do with our group dynamics. It was a small representation of why it wouldn’t work on a grand scale.
We don’t teach “community” in America. We don’t teach the importance of people respecting each other. We teach all that “rugged individualism” and all that matters is I, me, mine. That’s part of the reason why we have the problems we do.
We can’t get you off social media long enough to participate as a citizen. Why would we EVER believe the American people can manage the complexities of self governance? We don’t.
