This a short 5 minute meditation designed to help you get grounded, feel supported and calm. We will use somatic mindfulness to help you get in touch with how to identify and feel a sense of support. Somatic practice uses a blend of mind/body work to become more and more aware of your own nervous system and bodily sensations and tap into the felt sense of calm and safety. It’s okay if this is new to you or feeling calm and safe does not come easy. That’s why we start with just a short introduction to the practice and ideas. Mindfulness meditation isn’t about being empty, it’s about being aware and focused in the present moment.
