Hi, This is Krishnan Naganathan. I am a consultant and I work with organizations in managing Innovation, business transformation, and maintaining efficiency. I am a licensed innovation practitioner and an innovation IQ assessor. I have more than 25 years of experience in both line function and consulting. I have been the CEO of a European management consulting company as well as worked for Mckinsey. Prior to my consulting career, I have worked for Castrol, Ford and Ashok Leyland.

In this video, we discuss “how do we lead innovation” we will explore the topic of “how your leadership stlye impacts the innovation culture within your organisation?”. There are 5 styles for leading innovation

i) spiral staircase: In which the leader sets very clear innovation goal and go about systematically achieving those innovation targets

ii) cauldron: In which the leader constantly challenge status quo also encourage the organisation to challenge status quo. This leads to a innovation environment where there are new ideas

iii) Fertile field: This is like farming. Where you actually encourage talent within your organisation and cultivate leader within your organisation who are coming out new idea and new business opportunities

iv) PacMan: In this the leader will bet on emerging innovations, acquiring new ideas and businesses for innovating

v) Explorer: thi i the traditional tye of product deveopment oriented technoogy oriented. in which the organisations are willing to do long term bet on new technologies. Willing to take risk and invest in technoogical development on their own
