Hyperlite’s head of video production, Spencer Norris, captured all the wakeboard action and a behind the scenes look into our recent wakeboard photo shoot. Video is an important part of marketing and telling a brand’s story, it’s a lot of work but with Shaun Murray, Rusty Malinoski, Noah Flegel, Trever Maur & Bec Gange it’s also a ton of fun. The week also included riding from Josh Twelker, Kane Ward, JD Webb & Brian Grubb. With any Hyperlite shoot you’ll also hear from our photographer Rodrigo Donoso, a Delta native and our comedy provider for the week.
Hyperlite’s shoot took place in June, keep in mind we’d been in lockdown for quite some time so travel was a different experience for the entire team. All members of the crew are regular global travelers, but Spencer does a great job showing the dramatic difference in travelling for this shoot. We also get a look at all of the video equipment he prefers and the different angles he shoots from to capture our team riding Hyperlite’s new wakeboards and wakesurfers.
Needless to say, everyone was excited to get together for our annual trip and they finally had their new boards, bindings and surfers in hand for the first time. Each athlete is heavily involved with look and design of their signature models and having them in person, from the production line, is much more exciting than seeing the progress through prototypes, emails and texts.
Hyperlite enjoys watching the many videos released regularly from passionate athletes and videographers and encourage all to keep at it. Hope you enjoy Spencer’s VLOG from Hyperlite’s 2021 product shoot and look forward to seeing you on the water, stay Hyped! #HyperliteWake
