When I first saw the guiding words for this project (Coincidence, Love, Decay), my mind immediately went to portraying a relationship. But I decided to pursue this interpretation in a new way, combining my love for old Hollywood film scores, the aesthetic of old movies and silent films, and my access to NYC and the beautiful Central Park. My grandmother and her friend agreed to help me fulfill my vision, and I used my iPhone, and the free computer program “DaVinci Resolve 16” to bring this to life.

The story goes like this: Anne and Craig coincidentally meet for the first time in their building’s elevator. The two are brought together, and there’s an undeniable spark. Craig falls head over heels, and the two fall in love. Together they find themselves living a series of romantic tropes: strolling through central park, dancing for one another, sharing their passions. But it was all too good to be true. For reasons you get to decide, Anne is no longer in the picture, and Craig is left with his lingering love to decay. He relives the moments he and Anne shared together, only to make peace with the end of the love they once shared.
