Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use.
Begin Again portrays a one sided narrative constructed through blind idealisation. The resulted self inflicted detriment is associated to the myth that scorpions sting themselves to death when threatened by fire and in this case by love. At the core of its concept, Begin Again is about regaining control of your own narrative and transforming chaos into purity.
Tomorrow Never Came represents the comedown from Begin Again’s adrenaline, the embodiment of a disappointing return to home, knowing you’ve done everything you could. The unknowingness of the future, combined with nostalgia are two factors encapsulated in this second part.
Thank you Diana Alexandru for being dedicated and receptive for the entire 8-month process of creating this music video and to everyone who was involved in making sure my ideas would come to life exactly how they ran through my mind.
