The American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) asked what tribal college and university students needed most in 2020. The clear answer was a safe way to feel interconnected. The Aseto’ne Virtual Institute introduces students to health sciences research through online, experiential learning.
In the Cheyenne language, Aseto’ne refers to concepts of growth and taking first steps.
AIHEC and Praxis AI collaborated to build the online institute so tribal students can explore current issues and relevant skills in Indigenous Research, Career Development, General Research Skills, COVID-19 in Indian Country, Research in Public and Behavioral Health, Nursing & Clinical Research Design, and Mind and Body Wellness.
