Aria is an audio reactive piece generated by the data of the theme from Bach’s Goldberg Variations. The artist’s interpretation of this musical work is that the whole of it represents a life cycle. To that end, to visualize the aria, a solo, abstract “dancer” was created to silently dance to the more strongly emphasized notes, and float during the less accented ones. The colors change subtly with the notes’ intonation. This work is minimal, in keeping with the simplicity of the aria, and transmits the ease and energy to follow in the subsequent variations. In its final form, the music is extracted from the piece, leaving just the visual imprint, and perhaps the memory of the sound in one’s mind.
